During our month in Switzerland we especially enjoyed the many, many colorful flowers decorating cities and villages, as well as the extensive, reliable Swiss Rail train system.

When we arrived the days were warm and sunny, and we stayed until the crispness and color palette of autumn was in full swing. The people of Switzerland love flowers and we so appreciated the beauty of summery blossoms and fall blooms.

We mostly relied on trains to travel from place to place in Switzerland. Even though tickets and passes were a bit expensive, we appreciated the timeliness, cleanliness, comfort, and very broad service area of Swiss Rail. It was so nice to just look out the train window at the beautiful scenery and not worry about which road to take or where to park or on which side of the road to drive.
